ASASSN-21co: A Detached Eclipsing Binary with an 11.9 yr Period

چکیده
We use ASAS V-band and ASAS-SN g-band observations to model the long-period detached eclipsing binary ASASSN-21co. show an eclipse of depth V ~ 0.6 mag in April 2009. from March 2021 similar duration depth, suggesting orbital period 11.9 years. combine with additional BVRI photometry taken during using PHOEBE. find that system is best described by two M giants a ratio secondary radius primary ~0.61. Optical spectra are consistent at least one component being giant, we no temporal changes spectral features. The itself asymmetric, showing increase brightness near mid-eclipse, likely due rotational variability too low amplitude be observed out-of-eclipse.

GU Boo : A New 0 . 6 M ⊙ Detached Eclipsing Binary
We have found a new low-mass, double-lined, detached eclipsing binary, GU Boo, among a sample of new variables from the ROTSE-I database. The binary has an orbital period of 0.488728 ± 0.000002 days, and estimated apparent magnitudes Vrotse ≃ 13.7 and I ≃ 11.8. Our analysis of the light and radial velocity curves of the system yields individual masses and radii of M1= 0.610 ± 0.007 M⊙, M2= 0.59...
متن کاملCD Tau: a detached eclipsing binary with a solar-mass companion
We present a detailed analysis of the detached eclipsing binary CD Tau. A large variety of observational data, in form of IR photometry, CORAVEL radial velocity observations and high-resolution spectra, are combined with the published light curves to derive accurate absolute dimensions and effective temperature of the components, as well as the metal abundance of the system. We obtain: MA = 1.4...
متن کاملSDSS J0926+3624: the shortest period eclipsing binary star
With orbital periods of the order of tens of minutes or less, the AM Canum Venaticorum stars are ultracompact, hydrogen-deficient binaries with the shortest periods of any binary subclass, and are expected to be among the strongest gravitational wave sources in the sky. To date, the only known eclipsing source of this type is the P = 28 min binary SDSS J0926+3624. We present multiband, high tim...
متن کاملPeriod change and δ Scuti pulsations of eclipsing binary star RZ Cassiopiae
RZ Cas is an Algol-type partial eclipsing binary, the secondary component of which has filled its Roche lobe. Its visual magnitude is 6.18 and its period is 1.195 days. The most important characteristics of RZ Cas are period change (due to mass transfer) and anomalies in the primary minimum of its light curve (due to δ Scuti pulsations). In this paper, light curves of RZ Cas are obtained using ...
متن کاملAutomated analysis of eclipsing binary lightcurves. I. EBAS — a new Eclipsing Binary Automated Solver with EBOP
We present a new algorithm— Eclipsing Binary Automated Solver (EBAS), to analyse lightcurves of eclipsing binaries. The algorithm is designed to analyse large numbers of lightcurves, and is therefore based on the relatively fast EBOP code. To facilitate the search for the best solution, EBAS uses two parameter transformations. Instead of the radii of the two stellar components, EBAS uses the su...
